The method includes obtaining a baseline sensitivity touch signal from a touch sensor of the touchpad, measuring a first amplitude of the baseline sensitivity touch signal, comparing the first amplitude to a first amplitude threshold, and activating a high-sensitivity mode in response to the first amplitude being lower than the first amplitude threshold.
