"Power system based fan control method" was invented by Hao-Yu Wang (Kanagawa, Japan), Atsunobu Nakamura (Kanagawa, Japan), Qianyi Lu (Kanagawa, Japan) and Akinori Uchino (Kanagawa, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method of operating a fan of a computing system includes: measuring a temperature of a subcomponent of the computing system; and comparing the temperature to a temperature threshold.
