ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,411,887, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to Lemon Inc. (Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands).
"Transformer-based object detection" was invented by Linjie Yang (Los Angeles), Yiming Cui (Los Angeles) and Haichao Yu (Los Angeles).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Object detection using a transformer-based object detection model includes randomly initializing basic queries for the model, modulating the basic queries based on semantics of input images, and training the model basic on features extracted from input images and the modulated queries."
The patent was filed on Nov. 18, 2022, under Application No. 18/057,008.
