ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,468,038, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to LeddarTech Inc. (Quebec City).

"Systems and methods for wide-angle LiDAR using non-uniform magnification optics" was invented by Robert Baribault (Quebec, Canada) and Pierre Olivier (Saint-Redempteur, Canada).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods and systems for wide-angle LiDAR are provided that utilize magnification optics that provide non-uniform resolution in different areas of a Field of View (FoV)."
