US Patent Issued to Lear on April 29 for "Fastener and sealant" (Spanish Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,289,834, issued on April 29, was assigned to Lear Corp. (Southfield, Mich.).

"Fastener and sealant" was invented by Antoni Pujol (Valls, Spain), Luis Miguel Munoz Garcia (Valls, Spain), Angel Molinero Benitez (Valls, Spain), Oscar Cano Salomo (Valls, Spain) and Ignacio Ferran (Valls, Spain).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A fastener is provided with a pair of terminal ends with an intermediate region therebetween, with at least one of the terminal ends being threaded. The fastener is further provided with a sealant at least partially disposed on the intermediate region."
