US Patent Issued to Larimar Therapeutics on Aug. 19 for "Pharmaceutical composition comprising frataxin fusion protein and methods of use thereof" (Missouri, Massachusetts Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,390,509, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to Larimar Therapeutics Inc. (Bala Cynwyd, Pa.).

"Pharmaceutical composition comprising frataxin fusion protein and methods of use thereof" was invented by Denis Boyle (Hermann, Mo.) and Thomas Ransohoff (Lexington, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Pharmaceutical compositions comprising a TAT-FXN fusion polypeptide are disclosed, as are methods of use of the pharmaceutical compositions to treat subjects diagnosed with Friedrich's Ataxia and/or hypertrophic cardiomyopathy."
