ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,500,008, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Lantheus Medical Imaging Inc. (Bedford, Mass.).

"Pierceable plug for needle" was invented by Joseph Haepers (Acton, Mass.), Jack N. Wentz Jr. (Nashua, N.H.), Virginia Ann Hankard (Dunstable, Mass.), Khursida Shahidullah (Lexington, Mass.), Tricia D. Butland (Stoneham, Mass.), Patricia A. Corosa (Nashua, N.H.), David P. Rice (Derry, N.H.) and Samantha Moran (Lowell, Mass.).
