ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,240,958, issued on March 4, was assigned to L&P Property Management Co. (South Gate, Calif.).

"Expandable graphite flame retardant layer for polyurethane and latex foam" was invented by Courtney Peterson (Fort Smith, Ark.), Heidi Stojanovic (Fort Smith, Ark.), Aubrey Nicole Scherrey (Fort Smith, Ark.) and Mark L. Crawford (Alma, Ark.).
