ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,309,040, issued on May 20, was assigned to La Crosse Technology Ltd. (La Crosse, Wis.).
"Location monitoring via a gateway" was invented by Rolf Haupt (Chaiwan, Hong Kong) and Allan McCormick (La Crescent, Minn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A remote location monitoring system, for example, a home monitoring or weather monitoring system may include one or more sensors and/or receivers at a first location such as a residence or business to be monitored.
