ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,320,019, issued on June 3, was assigned to KYUSHU UNIVERSITY NATIONAL UNIVERSITY Corp. (Fukuoka, Japan).
"Electrochemical reduction method, catalyst, and method for producing catalyst" was invented by Miho Yamauchi (Fukuoka, Japan) and Akihiko Anzai (Fukuoka, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A catalyst includes an oxide containing titanium (Ti) and a copper (Cu). In an ultraviolet-visible absorption spectrum of the catalyst, a ratio I400/I600 of an intensity I400 at a wavelength of 400 nm to an intensity I600 at a wavelength of 600 nm may be 0.5 to 3."
