ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,251,446, issued on March 18, was assigned to KYOWA KIRIN Co. LTD. (Tokyo).

"Nucleic acid conjugate" was invented by Keiji Uehara (Tokyo), Yasuhiro Suzuki (Tokyo), Toshimasa Harumoto (Tokyo), Hiroto Iwai (Tokyo) and Asana Makino (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides a nucleic acid conjugate in which a sugar chain ligand is bonded to an oligonucleotide via a linker, the sugar chain ligand having O-bonded mannose at its non-reducing end."

The patent was filed on June 30, 2017, under Application No. 16/314,015.
