ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,489,271, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to KYOTO UNIVERSITY (Kyoto, Japan) and MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC Corp. (Tokyo).
"Two-dimensional photonic-crystal laser" was invented by Susumu Noda (Kyoto, Japan), Menaka De Zoysa (Muko, Japan), Kenji Ishizaki (Kyoto, Japan), Wataru Kunishi (Kyoto, Japan) and Kentaro Enoki (Nishinomiya, Japan).
