ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,464,802, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to KYOCERA SLD Laser Inc. (Goleta, Calif.).

"Manufacturable gallium and nitrogen containing single frequency laser diode" was invented by Philip Chan (Santa Barbara, Calif.), Phillip Skahan (Santa Barbara, Calif.), Nick Pfister (Goleta, Calif.), Christian Zollner (Santa Barbara, Calif.) and James W. Raring (Santa Barbara, Calif.).
