ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,538,537, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to KYOCERA SLD Laser Inc. (Goleta, Calif.).
"Manufacturable gallium containing electronic devices" was invented by James W. Raring (Goleta, Calif.) and Nicholas J. Pfister (Goleta, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Electronic devices are formed on donor substrates and transferred to carrier substrates by forming bonding regions on the electronic devices and bonding the bonding regions to a carrier substrate. The transfer process may include forming anchors and removing sacrificial regions."
The patent was filed on Nov. 30, 2022, under Application No. 18/071,877.
