ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,264,796, issued on April 1, was assigned to KYOCERA SLD Laser Inc. (Goleta, Calif.).

"Laser high beam and low beam headlamp apparatus" was invented by Cole J. Cunnien (Goleta, Calif.), Eric Goutain (Fremont, Calif.), Sten Heikman (Goleta, Calif.) and James W. Raring (Santa Barbara, Calif.).
