ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,416,690, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to KOREA ADVANCED INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (Daejeon, South Korea).
"Magnetic sensor using metal and silicon junction structure" was invented by Kab-Jin Kim (Daejeon, South Korea) and Jun-Ho Kang (Daejeon, South Korea).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A magnetic sensor includes a silicon substrate, a cross-shaped metal pattern formed on the silicon substrate and directly contacting the silicon substrate, and an insulating layer covering the cross-shaped metal pattern."
The patent was filed on Jan. 3, 2023, under Application No. 18/149,232.
