ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,415,639, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to Koninklijke Douwe Egberts B.V. (Utrecht, Netherlands).
"Capsule filling lines" was invented by Neil Rogers (Banbury, Great Britain), Kornelius Waechter (Berlin) and Sven Jaetzlau (Berlin).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Apparatus and methods of cleaning a sealing head (23) of a capsule filling line, comprising operating an ablation unit (10) to irradiate the sealing head (23) to ablate a residue off the sealing head (23)."
The patent was filed on Feb. 25, 2021, under Application No. 17/802,941.
