ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,343,997, issued on July 1, was assigned to KONICA MINOLTA INC. (Tokyo).
"Inkjet recorder" was invented by Takahiro Hara (Tama, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A mist collector includes: a nozzle through which air is sucked from a suction port and discharged from a discharge port; and a cyclone including an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder. The inner cylinder includes an intake hole and forms an airflow inside the inner cylinder by air taken therein through this intake hole, thereby separating ink mist from the air."
The patent was filed on May 19, 2023, under Application No. 18/320,288.
