ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,351,234, issued on July 8, was assigned to KOMATSU LTD. (Tokyo).

"Crawler-type work machine" was invented by Yoshitaka Kikuchi (Tokyo), Hiroaki Takeshima (Tokyo) and Takeshi Yoshikawa (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A bulldozer includes a control unit for controlling left and right steering clutches and left and right steering brakes, thereby executing a turning control of the vehicle. The control unit switches between a clutch control and a brake control on the basis of a differential between an actual turning radius and a target turning radius."
