ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,389,893, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to KOBO Labs LLC (Houston).
"Motor-driven fishing reel" was invented by Michael Pappas (Houston).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A reel system includes a fishing reel including a spool, an electrical module, and a multi-gear system. The electrical module is coupled to the fishing reel. The electrical module includes a motor configured to turn the spool. A first position in the multi-gear system is configured to turn the spool via the motor."
The patent was filed on Oct. 7, 2021, under Application No. 17/495,904.
