ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,385,167, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to KOBE STEEL LTD. (Hyogo, Japan).
"Strand with a spiral groove" was invented by Makoto Takenaka (Hyogo, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A strand, which is a resin strand used as an additive manufacturing raw material for a 3D printer and formed in a linear shape, the strand having a spiral groove portion formed on an outer peripheral surface along an axial direction."
The patent was filed on Oct. 29, 2021, under Application No. 18/250,310.
