"Joint strip for reinforcement of drywall panel joints" was invented by Alexander Kerschbaum (Steinsfeld, Germany) and Thomas Wieczorek (Mainbernheim, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A joint strip for reinforcement of drywall panel joints as well as for a method for reinforcing panel joints i.e. around a corner of a window or door opening is disclosed."
