ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,486,996, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to Kimberly-Clark Worldwide Inc. (Neenah, Wis.).
"Antimicrobial composition including an acyl lactylate and a glycol and methods of inhibiting microbial growth utilizing the same" was invented by Jeffery R. Seidling (Neenah, Wis.), Paige N. Hollmaier (Neenah, Wis.) and Corey T. Cunningham (Neenah, Wis.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Antimicrobial compositions and methods for inhibiting microbial growth are disclosed. The antimicrobial compositions can include an acyl lactylate, a glycol, and a carrier. The carrier can include water. Water can form at least about 90% by weight of the composition."
