ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,378,957, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to Kerr Machine Co. (Sulphur, Okla.).
"Fluid end plug with bore clearance" was invented by Mark S. Nowell (Ardmore, Okla.), Kelcy Jake Foster (Ardmore, Okla.) and Christopher Todd Barnett (Stratford, Okla.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A closure for a fluid end having a middle sealing section which engages a seal. The sealing section either has a larger outer diameter than adjacent sections or contacts a bore with a smaller inner diameter than adjacent sections.
