ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. RE50,607, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to KENNAMETAL INC. (Latrobe, Pa.).

"Lightweight cutting tool" was invented by Logan M. Semnisky (Greensburg, Pa.), Alan J. Bookheimer (Greensburg, Pa.), Ruy Frota de Souza Filho (Latrobe, Pa.), Werner Penkert (Furth, Germany), Ingo Grillenberger (Furth, Germany) and Dominik Schmid (Furth, Germany).
