ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,500,493, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Kencoil Inc. (Belle Chasse, La.).

"Electric coil with novel insulating tape and manufacturing method therefor" was invented by Eran Rosenszweig (Belle Chasse, La.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Electric coils and a method of insulating electric coils comprises copper wire with insulation, turn tape (e.g., B stage), film tape, and armor tape. In a preferred embodiment, the tape is hot-pressed after application of the B stage turn tape and again just prior to the application of the armor tape."

The patent was filed on Nov. 7, 2023, under Application No. 18/503,772.
