ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 13 -- United States Patent no. 12,522,769, issued on Jan. 13, was assigned to Kellogg Brown & Root LLC (Houston).
"Process to prepare feed by using dividing wall column and/or conventional column for catalytic cracking unit targeting olefin production" was invented by Bhari Bhujan Singh (Slough, Great Britain) and Ian Charles Elgey (Slough, Great Britain).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A dividing wall column or a pair of conventional columns can be used to separate an unstabilized naphtha stream to produce an aromatics-free light naphtha stream as a feed for a catalytic cracking unit for olefins production."
