ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,472,014, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to Kawasaki Jukogyo K.K. (Kobe, Japan).

"Surgical robot and operation method for articulated robot" was invented by Tsuyoshi Tojo (Ibaraki, Japan) and Tetsuo Ichii (Kobe, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In a surgical robot, a robot controller controls an articulated robot so that an arm base rotationally moves in an arc shape around a predetermined position set at a position away from the arm base."

The patent was filed on May 23, 2022, under Application No. 17/750,438.
