ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,343,605, issued on July 1, was assigned to Karsten Manufacturing Corp. (Phoenix).

"Golf club set having similar properties" was invented by Raymond J. Sander (Benbrook, Texas), Robert M. Boyd (Flower Mound, Texas) and John T. Stites (Sallisaw, Okla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A set of ball striking devices, such as a set golf clubs, having similar characteristics between clubs within the set of clubs such as length, weight, and lie angle. Characteristics can include lengths and lie angle."
