ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,281,230, issued on April 22, was assigned to Kao Corp. (Tokyo).
"Inkjet inks" was invented by Yuta Matsumoto (Cincinnati) and Daniel Sandker (Cincinnati).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An inkjet ink that includes (A) a terpene phenol resin having a hydroxyl value of 46 to 150 mgKOH/g, (B) ethanol, and (C) 1-propanol. A printed article including the inkjet ink in dried form, and a method of forming a printed image with a thermal inkjet printhead are also provided."
The patent was filed on Nov. 30, 2018, under Application No. 17/297,703.
