US Patent Issued to K18 on July 15 for "Composition for improving hair health" (California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,357,556, issued on July 15, was assigned to K18 INC. (San Francisco).

"Composition for improving hair health" was invented by Suveen Sahib (Novato, Calif.) and Elsa Jungman (San Francisco).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A composition comprising two peptides with a size of 11 and 12 amino acids, wherein 2-3 of said amino acids are cysteines and a suitable dermatology excipient, which can be used for treatment and grooming products for animal hair, preferably for treatment and cosmetics for human hair."

The patent was filed on Feb. 3, 2023, under Application No. 18/164,515.
