According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "There is provided an air cushion in which air chambers rise when a user is seated.An air cushion including an outer welded portion along an outer peripheral portion of a flat bag-shaped object includes: a first air chamber as a seating portion; a second air chamber as a side support portion; and a third air chamber as a side support portion, wherein the air chambers communicate with each other through passage portions and an inner welded portion is provided that has a U character."
