ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,312,723, issued on May 27, was assigned to JUKI Corp. (Tama, Japan).
"Creasing apparatus" was invented by Norio Yanagisawa (Tokyo), Takeshi Asami (Tokyo) and Yu Ikoshi (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A creasing apparatus includes a top plate having an upper surface supporting a fabric, a robot manipulator, a folding assembly mounted on the robot manipulator and configured to make a crease on the fabric by pinching the fabric from above, and a control device configured to control the robot manipulator and the folding assembly."
