ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,339,527, issued on June 24, was assigned to Journey1 Inc (South San Francisco, Calif.).

"Astigmatism correcting contact lenses having smooth edges, spheric and/or aspheric geometrical design" was invented by Yair Alster (Tel Aviv, Israel), Eugene De Juan Jr. (San Francisco), Omer Rafaeli (Rishpon, Israel), Barak Azmon (Tel Aviv, Israel) and Iris Szwarcfiter Brand (Tel Aviv, Israel).
