ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,492,020, issued on Dec. 9, was assigned to JOBY AERO INC. (Santa Cruz, Calif.).

"Electric autonomous aircraft" was invented by Snorri Gudmundsson (Daytona Beach, Fla.), Chunlei Liu (Los Angeles), Kevin Antcliff (Yorktown, Va.), Sydney Hardy (Burbank, Calif.), Kanthi Latha Bahmidipati (Detroit), Marc Piette (Orinda, Calif.) and Maxime Marie Christophe Gariel (San Francisco).
