ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,454,746, issued on Oct. 28, was assigned to JFE STEEL Corp. (Tokyo).

"Ferritic stainless steel for solid oxide fuel cell" was invented by Muhammad Febry (Tokyo), Tetsuyuki Nakamura (Tokyo), Takayoshi Yano (Tokyo), Masataka Yoshino (Tokyo) and Reiko Sugihara (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Having a chemical composition (1) containing 0.15 mass % to 1.00 mass % of Nb, and (2) containing 0.0005 mass % to 0.0100 mass % of Mg, where (3) the Al content is controlled in a range of 0.55 mass % to 2.00 mass %, and (4) a relationship of 0.0004less than equal to[Mg]/[Al]less than equal to0.0050 is further satisfied."
