ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,305,257, issued on May 20, was assigned to JFE STEEL Corp. (Tokyo).

"Cold rolled steel sheet" was invented by Shinichi Furuya (Tokyo) and Takeshi Matsuda (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a cold rolled steel sheet with excellent press formability, which contains a binder satisfying specific requirements and wax satisfying specific requirements, and has a layer containing the wax in a specific mass ratio at a specific coating weight."

The patent was filed on March 9, 2021, under Application No. 17/905,940.
