ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,282,609, issued on April 22, was assigned to Japan Display Inc. (Tokyo).
"Detecting device" was invented by Yuto Kakinoki (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A detecting device includes a sensor unit having a detection region in which a plurality of electrodes are arrayed, and a detector configured to detect a gesture corresponding to movement of an object to be detected in a space on the detection region based on a detected value of each of the electrodes."
The patent was filed on Feb. 26, 2024, under Application No. 18/587,064.
