ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,479,955, issued on Nov. 25, was assigned to Jain-Chem Ltd. (Taylors, S.C.).
"Non-sulfonated polyester acrylates and coatings employing same" was invented by Clint L. Varnadore (Simpsonville, S.C.) and Surendra Jain (Greer, S.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A process for emulsion polymerization is provided wherein a non-sulfonated polyester as a protective colloid in the process is provided. The non-sulfonated polyester may be an ethoxylated polyester. A product made by such process and a coating containing the product is also provided."
The patent was filed on Dec. 22, 2023, under Application No. 18/394,966.
