ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,338,695, issued on June 24, was assigned to ITREC B.V. (Schiedam, Netherlands).
"Mobile land rig with a pivotal top drive unit" was invented by Arthur Alexander De Mul (Schiedam, Netherlands).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A mobile land rig is adapted to perform drilling and/or wellbore related activities. The mobile land rig includes a drilling tower, a loader and a top drive system including a pivotal top drive unit. The top drive system is provided with an actuator assembly adapted to cause the pivot motion of the top drive unit."
The patent was filed on Sept. 26, 2022, under Application No. 18/695,578.
