ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,391,601, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to ISUZU GLASS LTD (Osaka, Japan).

"Glass material that transmits light beams having wavelength range from visible light to far infrared light" was invented by Tatsuya Suetsugu (Izumisano, Japan), Kazuhiro Nakano (Izumisano, Japan), Noriyoshi Higashi (Izumisano, Japan) and Takao Yamaguro (Izumisano, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The main object or purpose of the present invention is to provide a glass material that is suitable for mold forming, can reduce the size, and allows rays having a wavelength region between visible light to far-infrared light to pass through.
