US Patent Issued to iRobot on Jan. 20 for "Mobile cleaning robot with variable cleaning features" (California, Massachusetts Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,527,447, issued on Jan. 20, was assigned to iRobot Corp. (Bedford, Mass.).

"Mobile cleaning robot with variable cleaning features" was invented by Timothy R. Ohm (Grover Beach, Calif.) and Erik Amaral (Bolton, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A mobile cleaning robot can include a body movable within an environment and a debris bin located at least partially within the body. The robot can include a cleaning assembly connected to the body, where the cleaning assembly includes a first debris port connected to the debris bin and a second debris port connected to the debris bin."
