ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,228,404, issued on Feb. 18, was assigned to INVENSENSE INC. (San Jose, Calif.).
"Drive and sense balanced, semi-coupled 3-axis gyroscope" was invented by Doruk Senkal (San Jose, Calif.), Robert Hennessy (San Jose, Calif.), Houri Johari-Galle (San Jose, Calif.) and Joseph Seeger (Menlo Park, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A dynamically balanced 3-axis gyroscope architecture is provided. Various embodiments described herein can facilitate providing linear and angular momentum balanced 3-axis gyroscope architectures for better offset stability, vibration rejection, and lower part-to-part coupling."
