ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,312,418, issued on May 27, was assigned to Invenra Inc. (Madison, Wis.).

"Orthogonal mutations for heterodimerization" was invented by Jonathan Harry Davis (Madison, Wis.) and Nicholas M. Marshall (Middleton, Wis.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Heterodimerizing domains with orthogonal mutations that drive heterodimerization, in particular heterodimerizing antibody CH3 domains, heterodimeric polypeptides comprising such heterodimerizing domains, and antibody constructs comprising such heterodimeric polypeptides, are provided."
