ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,338,428, issued on June 24, was assigned to INV NYLON CHEMICALS AMERICAS LLC.
"Materials and methods for managing aerobic gas fermentation" was invented by Gary J. Smith (North Yorkshire, Great Britain), Paul S. Pearlman (Thornton, Pa.) and Gregory S. Kirby (Avondale, Pa.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are materials and methods for managing aerobic biosynthesis. The materials include a fermenter system comprising a fermenter, a microorganism provided to the fermenter, and at least two control loops. The methods are directed to measuring and controlling different oxygen concentrations within the fermenter."
