ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,303,130, issued on May 20, was assigned to INTUITIVE SURGICAL OPERATIONS INC. (Sunnyvale, Calif.).

"Staple cartridge for a surgical instrument" was invented by Matthew Wixey (San Jose, Calif.) and Atal Patel (Mission Viejo, Calif.).
