ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,350,451, issued on July 8, was assigned to INTERRAD Medical Inc. (Plymouth, Minn.).
"Systems and methods for anchoring medical devices" was invented by Michael S. Rosenberg (Eagan, Minn.) and Mark R. Christianson (Plymouth, Minn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Some embodiments of a medical device anchor system include an anchor device, a tether, and an adapter for securing a medical instrument (such as a catheter or the like) in place relative to a skin penetration point using subcutaneous anchors."
