ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,312,315, issued on May 27, was assigned to INTERQUIM S.A. (Barcelona, Spain).
"Process for the preparation of aripiprazole lauroxil" was invented by Marta Pomares Marco (Sant Cugat del Valles, Spain) and Francisco de Asis Marquillas Olondriz (Sant Cugat del Valles, Spain).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "It is provided a process for the preparation of aripiprazole lauroxil that comprises reacting 1-(hydroxymethyl) aripiprazole with lauric anhydride in the presence of DMAP and a solvent."
