ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,540,110, issued on Feb. 3, was assigned to INTERNATIONAL FLAVORS & FRAGRANCES INC. (New York).

"Dihydroxylation of olefins using osmate (VI) salts" was invented by Yigal Becker (Tel-Aviv, Israel) and Mohamad Gara (Jatt Village, Israel).
