ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,396,376, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to International Business Machines Corp. (Armonk, N.Y.).

"Piezoelectric memory" was invented by Guy M. Cohen (Ossining, N.Y.), Takashi Ando (Eastchester, N.Y.) and Nanbo Gong (White Plains, N.Y.).
